a nocte temporis
Reinoud Van Mechelen

Since time immemorial - a nocte temporis - is name and programme. Reinoud Van Mechelen, at home on opera stages all over the world, and his fellow performers search for depth, beauty and perfection in order to bring the music of the Baroque to the audience

French Music, Bach, Irish Folk

Accademia del Piacere
Fahmi Alqhai

One of the most interesting ensembles in Spain and one of the leading ensembles of its kind in Europe - thanks to innovative concepts, technical perfection and fantastic virtuosity. The musicians' love of playing and improvisation combined with the charisma of artistic director Fahmi Alqhai make every concert an event.

Viola da Gamba, Flamenco, Dance

Arsenale Sonoro
Boris Begelman

Boris Begelman is many things, violinist, concertmaster, soloist and conductor. Together with Francesca Aspromonte and an exquisite selection of fellow musicians, he enlivens the baroque repertoire with extraordinary programmes and breathtaking precision. Bologna is not only his home, but also the source of many of his programmes.

Constantinople
Kiya Tabassian

Global village and the whole world, tradition and new beginnings, the Ensemble Constantinople embarks on historical as well as geographical and cultural journeys, movement and encounters are the cornerstone of its musical work.

Iran, World, Baroque

 Cappella Amsterdam
Daniel Reuss

Cappella Amsterdam sings choral music at the very highest level, charming and captivating audiences around the world.
Under the guidance of Artistic Director Daniel Reuss, the choir has grown from strength to strength and risen to international fame.

Choir, Contemporary, brilliant sound

Holland Baroque
Judith u. Tineke Steenbrink

For the ensemble around the sisters Judith (violin) and Tineke Steenbrink (harpsichord), baroque music is an inexhaustible gold mine for composers, avant-gardists, discoverers and realists, in short, for people today. And it is in this very world that Holland Baroque moves - confidently, curiously, successfully.

Baroque, Jazz, unexpected combinations

Michel Godard

His technical skills are breathtaking, his tone is warm and clear, his ability to produce overtones and his musicality is surprising. How easy this unwieldy and cumbersome instrument can sound!
With the forerunner of the tuba, the serpent, an instrument in the shape of a curling snake, Godard has expanded his expressive possibilities in contemporary music, in jazz and classical music, as well as in the Early Music.

Serpent, Jazz, Baroque, World

Nils Økland Band

In his own musical universe, Nils Økland meets artist colleagues from jazz, folk, classical or indie music and with his projects, also around J.S. Bach, he makes the audience listen to the sounds between the categories. The majority of his CDs have been released by the label ECM.

Hardangerfiddle, Jazz, Folk, Freestyle

OMG Schubert

... is a duo that brings together song and music theatre and delivers amazing views of Schubert, Beethoven and Wagner through piano, electronics, song, performance and video art.

Ludus Instrumentalis
Evgeny Sviridov

As a rising star on the baroque violin, Evgeny Sviridov has achieved a lot at the age of 30: numerous first prizes at competitions as a soloist or with his ensemble "Ludus instrumentals", youngest concertmaster at Concerto Köln - and other orchestras such as B'Rock and Il Pomo d'oro, a chair at the Hochschule für Alte Musik Bremen. But your breath stops when you hear him play...

Russia, Soloviolin, new orchestra

Odd size

Odd size - the name says it all: A "Messiah for 4", because people were tired of accompanying orchestras for church choirs to play this work and there was no money for a real choir... Further programmes in the "odd" instrumentation of voice, violin, lute and cello are available for Beethoven.
