Cappella Amsterdam

Cappella Amsterdam

Daniel Reuss

Cappella Amsterdam sings choral music at the very highest level, charming and captivating audiences around the world. With a string of prizes and stellar reviews for our performances and recordings, we are dedicated to bringing you the most beautiful and important choral pieces, both old and new.

Under the guidance of Artistic Director Daniel Reuss, the choir has grown from strength to strength and risen to international fame.

The choir performs around 15 projects each season, bringing a total of nearly 70 concerts each year to concert halls large and small in The Netherlands and abroad. In 2018 we brought Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten to venues across Italy as well as Händel’s Messiah to Spain and Portugal. In recent years we have made an annual appearance at the Festival of Flanders.

Moreover, we frequently collaborate with exceptional orchestra and ensembles. For example, we have previously worked with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. Last season we toured The Netherlands, France and Germany with the LUDWIG Orchestra and soprano/conductor Barbara Hannigan performing The Rake’s Progress.

We have released a number of critically-acclaimed CDs on the Harmonia Mundi record label. In 2016 our recording of Kanon pokajanen received an Edison Classical award and an array of highly-acclaimed reviews
